Job Description

COMPANY: VACANCY AT UAC FOODS LIMITED
The company is a leading manufacturer and marketer of tasty and nourishing convenience foods and drinks. It operates two categories namely “Snacks” and “Beverages”.

JOB POSITION: Logistics Manager
The candidate will be responsible for Warehousing, Production Planning, Haulage, Primary and Secondary Distribution and key support for the sales and operation planning process. He or she will work with other professionals in Business Development and Customer Service to handle complaints and ensure support plans are put in place to maintain long term Customer Relationship.
Reporting to the General Manager – Supply Chain, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for all Logistics Operations and support across all distribution channels.
SPECIFIC JOB ROLES:
Ensure proper monitoring of storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods.
Ensure efficient management and monitoring of distribution vehicles throughout the entire distribution chain.
Efficient and effective management of all company warehouses.
Coordinating and controlling the order cycle and associated information system.
Develop the business as needed by analysing logistical problems and developing new solutions
Analysing data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.
Ensure proper and efficient production planning to meet company production and sales requirements.
Build strategic alliances with service providers with a view to refocusing internally on core competencies to enhance resource utilisation.
Monitor the quality, cost, and efficiency of both the movement and storage of goods.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate must:
Have a first degree in Social Sciences.
Possess 5 years logistics experience in FMCG industry.
Have a good knowledge of competitor and market dynamics.
Be computer literate (MS Office)
Be good at Supply Chain Analysis
Possess negotiation skills
Have a good knowledge of Fleet and Route Management.
Possess strategic thinking skills.
Have the ability to implement systems
Be a team player
Possess coordinating and organising ability
Possess strong analytical skills
Have high assertiveness
Be able to pay high level attention to detail
Possess good interpersonal skills
Possess people development and Management skills

    Sir,I am interested. My name is Isaiah Innocent,I hold a master degree(MBA)in International Business Management, from Lagos State University Ojo, Lagos State in the year 2011. Bsc Economics from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State in the year 1999.
    I have been working with Pronasidor Nigeria Limited, one of the manufacturer of some of the fast moving consumer goods(FMCG)in Nigeria, in various capacity in the Logistics department of the company, ranging from Warehouse operation clerk, stock keeper, officer, and presently I am in the Distribution and Transport unit in the capacity of a Supervisor.
