• As a Senior Process Engineer you will support and enable your process engineering team to produce conceptual and design process studies
• You will supervise process engineering studies performed by contractors and ensure that best practice is understood and adhered to throughout.

Compétences requises

Formation et connaissances
• Will hold an MSc or equivalent qualification in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues, along with the ability to encourage conscientiousness in others where health and safety is concerned.
• Will be fluent in both spoken and written English
Expérience
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Will have a substantial level of experience of working in the oil and gas industry, preferably within Exploration and Production.
• May have experience of gas treatment plants (including LNG, NLG, LPG and Acid Gas) or deep sea developments although this is not essential.

Job description

JOB DIMENSIONS
• Manage the piping and mechanical engineering section in Engineering, Construction and projects division, ECP (7 staff)
• Lead a team of 5 Facilities engineers, specialist in piping and mechanical disciplines, and 2 CAD operators.
• Supervise and control the good quality of the piping/mechanical engineering documents produced within ECP and by engineering contractors.
• Carry out various Oil & Gas production facilities engineering studies up to 1M$ annually projects cost estimates.
• In charge of all piping engineering studies and cost Estimates for middle size projects worth up to 50 Million USD (average of 70 studies per year).
• Liaise with other sections of ECP, Prod Dept., C&P Dept, Safety and Community Affairs.
• Ensure Engineering Coordination with the other Sections; produce complete and consistent Engineering Dossier
ACTIVITIES
Management
• Manage and coordinate the Piping and mechanical Engineering section of 5 Engineers and 2 draftsmen
• Evaluate performance of personnel directly reporting to the incumbent
• Contribute to formulation of HSE objectives / Action Plan and ensure subordinates participate in HSE meetings.
Engineering
• Assign to subordinates piping/mechanical tasks (Engineering, Material specification) received from Engineering Manager and follow-up the process.
• Set a plan with the Piping/mechanical Engineering Contractors to have all deliverables issued on time and check it regularly.
• Perform quality control of the deliverables (ISOs, Gas, Specifications, stress analysis, Data sheets, Materials list) received in-house / contractors.
• Ensure the implementation of Total Specifications and external rules during engineering phase.
• Organise, control and check the quality of piping/mechanical documents produced.
• Inform Engineering Manager of any necessary technical arbitration between the different disciplines in case of conflict of interests and keep all parties informed.
• Report to Engineering Manager, regularly and when decisions with an impact on the strategy of the Project are needed
• Interface with people working in a large range of trades (operations, cost, schedule, procurement, contracts, construction, quality assurance, etc…)
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
• Context: Production facilities modification engineering studies.
• Work location based in Port Harcourt. Sites: Production sites onshore, offshore and deep offshore.
• Major clients are TEPNG production Dept, HSE or Development and planning.
• Constraints:
o Client Statement of requirement (SOR) not detailed and as built documentation not complete
o 100% Nigerian local content constraints to be applied in a local Engineering environment poorly developed
Tight delivery milestones function of Operational objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure effective and timely response to piping technical queries and verify compliance with company procedures.
• Validate piping/mechanical design studies by ensuring that they are accurate and meet overall Statement of Requirements.
• Manage and motivate piping staff / contract staff in the section in order to achieve greater results.

Required skills

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical/Electronic , Chemical, Computer Engineering
Experience
3 -4 years experience with instrumentation & process control systems / equipment preferably with oil /
gas or petrochemical industries. Knowledge of the following systems – Yokogawa, Foxboro, Bailey – is required.
Knowledge in DCS: Yokogawa, ABB Bailey, Foxboro is a must
Knowledge in HMI/SCADA software package: Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, Siemens, GE-Complicity is a must
Knowledge in Safety Systems : HIMA, Pro-Safe RS, Triconex is a must
Knowledge of high-level Computer language will be an advantage

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Required skills

Education

advantage.
Skills

¿ Prognosis of well potentials using the well model Prosper from well tests interpreted results provided by the Reservoir.
¿ Follow up on actual wells production or injection, identifying well production shortfalls, analysing their origins.
¿ Co-ordination of Reservoir, Drilling/completion and production multi-disciplinary expertises to propose curative actions for under performing wells. Quantify expected benefits.
¿ Scheduling light well interventions taking into account Production, Drilling/completion and Reservoir requirements.
¿ Post mortem analysis after corrective actions.
¿ Artificial lift management : choice and sizing of the solutions, establishment of optimum working parameters including gas allocation to comply with the overall production/injection strategy defined by Reservoir.
¿ Keep a close contact with Production operations to follow up on the day to day wells behaviour, and the implementation of necessary adjustments.
¿ Establish a scope of requirements prior to any well completion or re-completion.

Good overview of the different parameters affecting the performance of a well, from the reservoir to the surface utilities.

JOB DIMENSIONS
• ROV support of Eastern Development Asset (EDA) and Exploration activities: up to 3 drilling rigs, USAN FPSO, MPSV / OIMR vessel, ROV support vessel; up to 5 ROV vehicles;
ACTIVITIES
• Plans, prepares, and manages ROV operations liaising with Client Departments and ROV contractors. Ensures correct level of supervision for non-routine ROV operations;
• Follows up daily on EDA ROV activities, in close coordination with ROV contracted personnel and Company representatives onboard the vessels, offshore installations and drilling rigs;
• Manages all existing ROV contracts in cooperation with Contracts and Cost Control departments, approves invoices. Evaluates existing contracts to propose improvements at the time of renewal;
• Ensures the implementation by Contractors of the Company HSE policies through the application of the HSE bridging document and other documents as applicable;
• Organizes and prepares ROV intervention operations in coordination with project engineers, vessel superintendents, drilling and exploitation entities;
• Reviews all procedures related to ROV operations, including testing and reception procedures for new ROV systems and associated tooling and equipment. Organizes testing of ROV systems, tools and equipment;
• Evaluates ROV performance and optimizes operations. Maintains statistics and KPIs of ROV and tooling performance. Participates in the Call for Tender process, technical evaluations and selection of ROV contractors. Contributes to ROV budget preparation;
• Manages the ROV tools owned or rented by EDA (inventory, maintenance, renewal, etc.);
• Monitors industry technological innovations with respect to ROV operations or development. Advises management of their potential use;
• Supervises staff and contracted ROV personnel;
• Supervises Company ROV Specialist Trainees: defines tasks and training program, follows up and evaluates their performance;
• Establishes and maintains up to date: video library, and database of EDA owned or rented ROV tools and equipment (quantities, operational condition, location);
• Acts as the ROV Technical Authority for the DW District, provides feedback to HQ when required;
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• ROV operations are regularly followed up, contracts effectively managed, ROV KPIs recorded and analyzed, ROV performance optimized, technical compliance with the Company standards is ensured;

Required skills

Education
• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience
=>10 years experience in offshore Oil & Gas construction industry as ROV Pilot/Operator of which =>3 years in a senior position (ROV Superintendent / ROV Team Leader) on a deep offshore oilfield project. If the candidate holds Master’s degree in marine / mechanical / electrical engineering or equivalent, the ops experience is reduced to 5 years (out of which 3 years in senior position).
