Main Purpose of the Job
Responsible for contributing to the bottom line by ensuring products are readily available by increasing efficiency to decrease waste and lower costs.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide operational management and direction to ensure maximum utilization of resources in the delivery of service level agreements.
• Coordinates, analyzes and performs business intelligence and operations performance data capture and analysis for the department, to support executive decision making.
• Ensures supply depot and outbound maintenance operations are in compliance with all company and regulatory agencies policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Liaise with Sales and Marketing personnel and Finance and Accounting groups to gather additional data and support the planning cycle.
• Monitors performance metrics to gauge functional performance and informs on all tendencies detected.
• Develops, execute and supports all relevant operation-related policies and procedures related to the standardization of the activities within the value chain.
• Manages shipping coordination and jetty operations.
• Identify supply requirements and select reliable and efficient product suppliers (inbound and outbound) that will ensure availability of products to meet the volume requirements at the terminals/retail and industrial outlets at all times and wherever required at competitive cost.
• Implements and executes the Company’s product sourcing/procurement strategies to ensure availability and adequacy of products to meet customers demand.
• Manages the fleet distribution system to support the distribution requirements for product lifting and transportation and development of the Company’s fleet management strategy.
• Interface with the fleet business partners, dispatch and sales team to address issues that will affect timely delivery of products to retail and industrial/commercial locations.
• Manages stakeholders- DPR, PPMC, PEF, NARTO, NUPENG, PTD, NIMASA, NPA, AGENTS, NAVY, etc and maintains a cordial relationship to benefit the Company.
• Ensure all advance payments to PEF through NNPC are reconciled with volume lifted from NNPC depots, third party depots and Imports through Company Terminal. Obtain Certificate at the end of the reconciliation work stating the amount due to Z4E.
• Processing all transporters bills for payment
• Filing of Documents, Ensuring Security and Accessibility of processed documents,
• Meeting/Liaising with PEF (government) officials on validity of submitted documents and Compliance with regulations.
• Liaising with all Depots/Terminals to ensure timely availability of documents required for returns to PEF. Ensure timely rendition of returns to avoid rejects

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge
• Laws and Legislation of downstream business in the Oil and Gas industry
• Risk Management
• Experience in the operations at downstream oil and gas products – GAS, AGO, PMS, LUBOIL, CRUDEOIL, etc. and sound knowledge of the Oil and Gas product operational procedures is a major requirement.

• Able to effectively manage and motivate teams to get results.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within a similar role in the downstream oil and gas sector.
• Experience must be in-depth enough to have provided a deep understanding of business strategy and inter-link with operational requirements
