Parts Order Coordinator

Wartsila Marine and Power Services Nigeria Limited, a global leader in complete lifecycle power solutions for the Marine and Energy Markets is seeking to recruit dynamic and creative thinkers with a passion for high-performance and professionalism to fill the position of Parts Order Coordinator.

Position description

Spare parts offer and order processing
Perform reliable delivery and speedy invoicing
Develop the offer, order, delivery follow up and invoicing


– Execute inquiries and orders as per customer requirements relate to spare parts of the entire Wartsila portofolio.
– Advice and support customers to support the customer to make them their inquiry.
– Monitor timely parts deliveries.
– Clarify the material numbers and parts code related issues.
– Responding to parts queries from network companies, external customers and sales support teams.
– Coordinate daily activities and urgent requests with relevant colleagues in order to find satisfactory solutions

Service Engineer – Mechanical

Position description

-Provide engine and related auxiliaries service such as maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting and repair.
-To provide field service/survey assistance as directed
-To perform workshop service as directed
-To perform repair works as directed
-To support service engineers as required


-Independently execute Field Service activities such as overhaul, repair and trouble shooting.
-Identify failures, making adjustments, doing trial runs and testing of complete installations according to instructions.
-Check and adjust relevant auxiliary systems.
-Provide internal and external work reports according to Wartsila standards.
-Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
-Perform pre-commissioning and start-ups of Wartsila engines.
-Promote Wartsila Products and Services

-Minimum of Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years relevant working experience as service engineer mechanical


Service Engineers, Electrical & Automation

Position description

-Independently execute Field Service activities mainly on electrical and electronic components.
-Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing of electrical installations according to instructions.
-Provide field service/survey assistance as directed.
-Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e. auxiliary, propulsion…).
-Provide internal and external work reports according to Wärtsilä standards.
-Supervise the tasks performed by Wärtsilä employees and subcontractors.
-Perform pre-commissioning of Wärtsilä installations.
-Promote Wärtsilä Products and Services.
-Collect and organise time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
-Participate in technical discussions/communications with customers and other internal stakeholders


Supervise electrical/PLc works and subcontractors at site.
Manage commissioning and handing-over procedures.
Perform start-ups and testing of installed equipment and document the results.
Maintain good customer relation and ensure quality and cost effeciency of installations.
Participate in negotiations with customers and handle technical discussions and communication with the product companies.
Participate in office work as required and perform field service work as directed.
