Job Description

Our client is an Investment holding company and a diversified group of businesses, based in the south west region of Nigeria, with interests across several industries. The Group’s interests include holdings in 12 subsidiaries, 14 associate companies, and other trade investments. The Group is currently transforming its business and investment portfolio for improved performance and returns to shareholders, and is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join its senior management team. They will be required to drive change across the Group.

Assistant General Manager

– Deputy General Manager Treasury & Investment (RC001) Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Group’s treasury operations and ensuring the optimal performance of its investment portfolio. The position will also be responsible for financial appraisal, due diligence and capital raising for new investments, towards the development and achievement of the Group’s strategic goals and objectives. Qualification and Experience • First degree in Finance/Accounting and other related discipline from a reputable tertiary institution. A post graduate degree in related disciplines will be an added advantage • Relevant professional qualification, e.g. ACA, CFA, etc. • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant management experience, with at least three (3) years at senior management level • A proven track record in managing a mixed asset investment portfolio and securing financing for new business ventures • 40-45 years old


Assistant General Manager, Property Development Division (RC002) Reporting to the Group Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the real estate business of the holding company. The candidate will be responsible to design, execute and deliver property development projects that unlock the value in the Group’s land assets, to achieve profitability and return on asset targets. Qualification and Experience • First degree in the ‘built environment’ from a reputable institution (e.g. Urban and Regional Planning, Architecture, Estate Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, etc.) • Professional certificate in Project Management (e.g. PMP or Prince2) will be an advantage • Minimum of ten (10) years management experience in a construction environment, five (5) of which must be in a property development and real estate management organisation • Experience managing a real estate and property development organisation with a portfolio including grade A properties in choice locations • 40-45 years old Skills and Competencies Candidates for the positions are required to posses the following skills and competencies: • Ability to address and analyze problems and to think strategically and anticipate, interpret and develop strategic responses to issues • Ability to identify the need for plan strategically and successfully lead change within an organisation • Open and accessible style of leadership • High ethical standards and integrity • Excellent communication, business presentation, persuasion and analytical skills • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and/or make an impact • Well honed skills to persuade, influence, negotiate, manage and sustain effective, successful relationships both internally and externally • Ability to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders
