Transactional Products & Services; This team is constantly working to extend our service capability and product range, consolidating our operations in established markets while expanding and extending in emerging markets. We divide our core capabilities into three product groups – Investor Services, Transactional Banking and International Trade Services.

Job Purpose

To manage client relationships in the Financial Institutions Sector and to maximise cross-selling revenues and client profitability while providing effective client support and relationship development relating to Global Transaction Banking products
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

a. Financial Performance
Achieve revenue target and growth for year as agreed- onshore and offshore (SBSA)
Achieve new sales revenue targets as agreed
Contribute to the formulation of the sales budget/pricing process including concessions
Manage expenses
Responsible for the portfolio financial budget through good client retention and services

b. Enhancing performance
Development of short term and long term sales and product plans, focusing on customers, competition, profitability, product life cycle and service consideration, in addition to organizing sales programs for growth and product penetration for your portfolio.
Support the launching of new initiatives, products, developing enhancements, new product concepts and preparing business requirements, either independently or jointly with Group.
Understand the West Africa market in terms of size, share, structure, potential, customer segmentation, buyer behaviours and competitor analysis within the region and country, for the relevant product sets. Support the Sales Head with market research as required
Carry out competitor benchmarking exercises within the Region as it relates to Financial Institutions to help shape the bank’s sales, marketing, product, pricing and service strategies

Meet retention and vacancy goals
Implement succession strategy for team
Promote diversity and local talent

d. Client Centricity
Implement sales performance and effectiveness model comprising of sales methodology and process
Develop deep client understanding in the NBFI and Bank Sector segment within the Region
Cross sell and up sell
Manage and retain client relationships for both NBFI and Bank Sector within the Region
Participate in customer surveys (internal and external)

e. Internal processes
Plan, input, maintain and communicate a view of Transaction Products and services covering your portfolio
Coordinate and assume responsibility for compiling and communicating to all stakeholders, on a regular basis, information relevant to your portfolio.

f. Brand and Culture
Represent Stanbic at sales forums and industry events.
Promote the Stanbic brand

Preferred Qualification and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree
Ideal post-graduate level
Deep client and market experience
Product knowledge across TPS spectrum
Minimum of 10 years post university experience and 5 Years sales experience in related role
Understanding of transaction flows, banking sectors and economic drivers across a variety of markets, especially Africa.
Knowledge of FI decision making, structure, analytics and balance sheets
Knowledge of developing and/or selling Cash Management, Treasury and Trade Finance products
Strong interpersonal skills to support conversion of direct sales to FIs
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise
