Job Description


A Market leader in the chemical industry situated in Ikeja Lagos State requires the services of a Business Development Officer.
• A minimum of HND preferably in science related field
• A minimum of 3 [three] years’ experience in business development/marketing, preferably in the chemical industry.
• Additional qualification in business administration is an added advantage
• The individual needs to be self-driven and pro-active in maximising opportunities.
• Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Should be conversant with Lagos road and be able to drive.
• Should have good knowledge of writing proposals.
• Maintain existing customer relations and Develop new ones.
• Seek customers in company target markets through research and direct contact with potential customers
• Generate business opportunities through customer contact to meet company’s business plans and growth strategies
• Drive the sales process from inquiry, coordination through “Closing the Deal”
• Track and report current status of potential projects, markets, Customer news, and developments
• Ensure all communication with customers are in accordance with company standards and correct in content and format
• Carrying out the supporting market studies
• Negotiating and concluding confidentiality agreements, supply contracts for trial and industrial quantities
• Outstanding skill of presentation, communication and negotiation
• Ability to work under pressure and hit targets
• A natural self-starter
• good problem-solving skills
