Position Description

Co-ordinatethe pipeline engineering aspects of projects to ensure that technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule.
Monitor and review Contractors pipeline engineering effort and make recommendations to Senior Engineering Co-ordinator.
Draft/ review/ approve the pipeline route survey and laying work processes.

Co-ordinate land acquisitions and secure pipeline right of way (ROW) easement.
Co-ordinate and develop pipeline engineering plans and specifications including pig launchers and receivers, leak detection systems and flow measurements.
Ensure that Addax quality control procedures are being followed while performing the various tasks on the project as per QMS and PQP.
Perform engineering calculations for onshore and offshore pipelines, in accordance with international codes and standards and specific project requirements.
Interact with other disciplines as required for design development on projects and with Contractors / Vendors / PSC department. Co-ordinate with other lead engineers for interdisciplinary tasks.
Identify issues that impede project progress and report to the Senior Engineering Co-ordinator.
Prepare and present man-hour estimates, PEP and weekly reports, progress reports, etc as required.
Technically evaluate and specify equipment and services associated with pipeline laying exercise.
Ensure the implementation of HSE requirements throughout all the phases of pipeline system design.
To participate in HAZOP’s and other key design reviews.
Co-ordinate and maintain pipelines environmental assessment studies and developing mitigation strategies.
Identify new methodology of work process required for higher productivity.
Carry out conceptual studies, including techno-economic feasibility studies for optimum pipeline design development.

Position Description
Planning
1. Inputs to Antan Field Development Program Planning
2. Assistance in execution of contracts.
3. Inputs in defining and planning resources.
Operations
1. Provide support to Antan SCP in establishing and maintaining up to date AFE and related documents
2. Generate and maintain departmental, project and contract based cost reports, as required by the SCP
3. Monitor and report cost against progress and monitor and report expenditure and commitments against project budget.
4. Review and audit contractors’ cost management procedures.
5. Review contractors’ proposed VOs and claims and, if appropriate, generate negotiating position.
6. Audit contractors’ invoices and backup material.
Administrative
1. Departmental and project level cost reports.
2. Weekly and monthly cost reports by contract.
3. Specific cost related presentational material as required.
4. Cost review of contractors’ proposed VOs.
5. Audit reports on contractor invoices
Position Requirements
Education Qualification:
Degree in an Engineering discipline (appropriate subject).
Professional Qualification:
1. Experience in Project Cost estimates is preferable.
2. Membership of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or equivalent
3. Good working knowledge of legal interpretation of contracts
Experience
1. Minimum of 10 years experience in similar positions dealing with costs and controls projects in the upstream offshore oil and gas industry.
2. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Functional/ Technical:
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining internal planning
Ability to manage interfaces both internally and externally with contractors
Fluent spoken and written English.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to deal with a broad spectrum of cultural and organisational styles
